Tomorrow is the first day of my summer holidays and I'm looking forward to some quality time with my family and getting caught up on chores I've been putting off around the house and the yard. Alex is growing up faster than ever and Naomi is getting ready for University so chances to spend time as a family will be few and far between as the next years unfold.

I've decided to turn off the technology that is practically wired to me (ahem, Blackberry) and take a break from it all. While I've enjoyed interacting online and continually learning, it'll be good to give it all a little rest and come back re-energized and ready to go.

This summer, take care to make safety a part of your life. People tend to relax on their summer holidays, and while that's the idea, don't be thoughtless and needlessly put your life or someone else's life at risk. I'll do the same and together we'll play our part in keeping ourselves and our families safe from harm.
